Come to the second film in our AIDS Film Series this semester!
There will be free food and drinks beginning at 5:30 pm on November 13, followed by the film itself, and a panel discussion.
AIDS: The Woman's Story description:
"Set against a background of disease, poverty and social subjugation, this is a story of vitality and will power, and of women who have the courage to fight against reigning cultural and religious traditions."
This is a wonderful film that focuses on women living with AIDS in Kenya, Brazil, and Thailand. The film asks why AIDS prevention is not more of a priority in many underdeveloped countries. It looks at the ways existing structures of power and influence can make a difference at the international level.
