The mission of the Womyn's Coalition at ASU is to cultivate an environment that is conducive to the progression and success of womyn at the university, local and global level. The Coalition works to create a safe space for womyn on campus and to encourage unity among all people. It also advocates education and activism, actively striving to raise awareness and engage students in the Tempe community.
GenderWHAT?! is an evolving discussion group and safe space that explores constructions of gender, gender performance, sexualities and other queer issues.People of all sexualities and genders (including straight ones!) are welcome.
Gamma Rho Lambda (GRL) National Sorority is dedicated to providing a social support system for young college students. GRL has been referred to as the first national lesbian sorority, however they strive to be inclusive of all members, whether they identify as lesbian, bisexual, ally, transgender, questioning, straight, or with no label.
Sigma Phi Beta Fraternity promotes equality and respect by providing Queer and Allied men in college with a uniquely diverse safe space within the traditional Greek fraternity system.
The LGBT Certificate program is ASU's undergraduate certificate in LGBT studies.
SafeZONE is a program designed to increase the overall campus community's understanding and awareness of issues faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning (LGBTQ) and other marginalized persons. The Program provides three ongoing workshops to the campus community - SafeZONE 101, Gender Identity 101, and Becoming an Ally.
The Human Rights Campaign is a national civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality.
The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.
One in Ten Youth Services is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving and assisting LGBTQ youth (ranging in age from 14-22). They provide youth with tools to improve self esteem and acceptance of who they are.
One Voice Community Center (at Indian School and 7th Ave in Phoenix) serves as a cultural focal point uniting LGBT individuals and reinvests in the community by providing vital educational, social and wellness programs.
