Tonight, Friday, October 23rd, the LGBTQ Coalition will be showing the first film in our semester-long HIV/AIDS film series.
The film is called "The Common Threads: Stories from the Quilt," and is quite moving.
The event will be held in PSF 166, from 5:30pm-9pm, this Friday, October 23rd.
Hello LGBTQ Coalition members!
At last week's meeting, some amendments were proposed to our constitution. Check out the blog on our website to see the full text of both the proposals and the current Constitution. Voting will be held at this week's meeting for those who are eligible to vote, i.e. members who have attended 3 consecutive meetings.
See you then!

ASU LGBTQ Coalition
LGBTQ Coalition members,
A major step toward our goal of establishing a dedicated LGBT Community Center on campus is about to be taken. This week and next week Student Engagement will be holding three open forums for the LGBT Specialist position. Attending these open forums is the best way for students and community members to become acquainted with the three finalists who have a possibility of serving as an advocate for the Queer community at ASU.
Here are the details:
•Lisa Pittari: September 1st, 1-2 pm, MU 224
•Samuel Holdren: September 2nd, 11-12 pm, MU 225
Hey Coalition members! I'd like to forward to you a note from GLSEN, an organization that the Coalition has worked closely with.

It will be held in MU 240, the Navajo room, on ASU's Tempe campus. The meeting will start at 6:00 PM and we hope to keep it to about an hour long. We hope to see you all there! Bring your friends!
Students:
Please join us in celebrating with our May 2009 graduates by volunteering your time to assist with ASU’s Commencement Ceremony on Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Many volunteers are needed to greet guests at the entrance points to Sun Devil Stadium.
Duties: Welcoming guests, directing to appropriate lines for security and entrance, ensuring guests are prepared for security screening, providing general directions, fielding questions and needs as they occur
Time required: 1 PM to 8 PM (note you will have time to enter the Stadium before the President speaks)
