TONIGHT: AIDS Film and Discussion

Tonight, Friday, October 23rd, the LGBTQ Coalition will be showing the first film in our semester-long HIV/AIDS film series.

The film is called "The Common Threads: Stories from the Quilt," and is quite moving.
The event will be held in PSF 166, from 5:30pm-9pm, this Friday, October 23rd.

Constitutional Amendments

Hello LGBTQ Coalition members!

At last week's meeting, some amendments were proposed to our constitution. Check out the blog on our website to see the full text of both the proposals and the current Constitution. Voting will be held at this week's meeting for those who are eligible to vote, i.e. members who have attended 3 consecutive meetings.

See you then!

What it means to be any ally varies from person to person. We know the straight allies are an essential part of the LGBTQ community. This dialogue explores the roles, challenges and meaning of being an ally to the LGBTQ community and the various communities within it.

LGBT Specialist Open Forums

LGBTQ Coalition members,

A major step toward our goal of establishing a dedicated LGBT Community Center on campus is about to be taken. This week and next week Student Engagement will be holding three open forums for the LGBT Specialist position. Attending these open forums is the best way for students and community members to become acquainted with the three finalists who have a possibility of serving as an advocate for the Queer community at ASU.

Here are the details:

•Lisa Pittari: September 1st, 1-2 pm, MU 224
•Samuel Holdren: September 2nd, 11-12 pm, MU 225
