What it means to be any ally varies from person to person. We know the straight allies are an essential part of the LGBTQ community. We also know LGBTQA communities are made of diverse backgrounds and experiences. We often don’t talk about how those who identify as LGBTQA can also be allies to each other. This dialogue explores the roles, challenges and meaning of being an ally to the LGBTQ community and the various communities within it.

Email lgbtqa@asu.edu with any questions or comments.

Fantastic week!

We would like to start by saying how AMAZING last week was! Spring welcome was absolutely FAB-U-LOUS and the Holocaust Symposium was incredibly intriguing and mind-opening. Thank you to all who showed up to either event! They would not be the same without YOU!

LGBTQ Coalition Presents: Holocaust Symposium

Hey Coalition members!

First of all, thanks to all of you who attended our Spring Welcome Wednesday night! We had a great time and a fantastic turn out. We look forward to seeing all of you at Coalition meetings and events throughout the semester.

This week, rather than holding our regular LGBTQ Coalition meeting on Thursday night, the Coalition will be sponsoring a Holocaust Symposium.

We are extremely lucky to have these three visitors come and speak to us:

1) Dr. Alex White - Schindler's List Survivor
2) Jack Nemerov - Dachau Liberator
3) Robert Sutz - Holocaust Artist
